In a nutshell

This is an update that we sent to family and a few friends near the end of the summer (2012) and thought it would be great to begin our blog with this as well. 

    God has really been working in our lives, and we want to share with you some of the ways He continues to bless us. We walked through a very difficult time in our marriage around a year and a half ago, but as we have both continued to seek God, He has remained faithful and completely restored our marriage...and then some!
    We appreciate the prayers and encouragement we received and continue to receive. We have always known and continue to believe that God can do anything (Ephesians 3:20-21) and still performs miracles today; Our lives are testaments to that. Our family now has a vision of where God wants to take us, and we are willing and ready to take the steps necessary to live out our purpose.    You all know that we have been involved in many mission trips to Haiti over the past two years. Most recently, we had the privilege of partnering with a wonderful organization, Giving Hope Rescue Mission. Giving Hope is an orphanage that rescues children who have been abandoned, orphaned, abused/neglected, or are terminally ill.  The orphanage is a place of beauty and joy, filled with laughing children, loving care givers, and the joy of the Lord. We were honored to be able to partner with this organization and cannot wait to experience God in new and exciting ways as God continues to show us His plan for our lives.
    We have a huge heart for Haiti and believe that God has truly allowed us to see the people there through His eyes. As we have prayed for God to reveal His purpose for our lives, we know He has a calling on our lives to adopt. Please keep us in your prayers as we pursue adoption through Giving Hope Rescue Mission. Although we have been considering this for a while, we are still early in the process and will continue to seek God’s will. We have decided that our family will serve the Lord with all our hearts. We are His body; We are His hands and feet. By being available to God, He will use our family to make a difference for His kingdom, and in all honesty, that is all that matters. We covet your prayers and encouragement regarding this and appreciate and love you all so much!
